Omega Ouzeri’s Greek Wine Dinner is taking place Wednesday, November 4, beginning at 7 PM, in Omega’s private mezzanine. Tasting will be led by special guest, Ted Diamantis, of Chicago Diamond Wine Importers, along with food menu by Seattle’s Thomas Soukakos and Omega’s Chef Phillip Busacco. The wine tasting and dinner is sure to help Seattleleites navigate and enjoy the complex and rich gastronomical culture of Greece. Nikos for The Shop Agora on 15th Ave will be on hand to assist you in your order to stock your cellar with these favorites for your holiday celebrations.

Tasting Menu includes the following dishes with Greek wine pairings for $100 per person (tax and gratuity included):

Event Press Release TUESDAY, MARCH 17, 2015 at 7:00pm Omega Ouzeri’s first Greek Wine and Dine Tasting with Sotiris Bafitis SEATTLE (March 17, 2015) – Omega Ouzeri’s first Greek Wine and Dine Tasting is taking place Tuesday, March 17, beginning at 7 PM, in Omega’s private mezzanine. Tasting will be led by Sotiris Bafitis, of New York and DC’s Verity Wine Partners and SBS, along with food menu by Seattle’s Thomas Soukakos and Omega’s Executive Chef Vironas Papatheodorou. The wine tasting and dinner is sure to help Seattleleites navigate and enjoy the complex and rich gastronomical culture of Greece.   “Our mission at Omega is to showcase the extraordinary depth and diversity of Greece’s gastronomic tradition and wine is at the heart of this tradition dating back more than 6,000 years,” says Thomas Soukakos, owner/manager of Omega Ouzeri. “With the help of Sotiris Bafitis, we’ve selected an array of artisanal producers, appellations and distinctive, indigenous grapes that integrate a tradition like no other, with the best of modern winemaking.”   Tasting Menu includes the following dishes with Greek wine pairings for $80 per person:

  • Stridia: chilled oysters, champagne mignonette
  • Tzatziki: Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, dill oil
  • Tiganito kalamari: golden fired squid, citrus zest
  • Krostini me horta: braised greens and gigantes puree

  • Karamolegos Ferendini 2013 (Santorini)

Mains: (First Round)

  • Kolokithokeftedes: zucchini cakes, feta, mint, scallions, garlic aioli
