The wine tasting and dinner is sure to help Seattleleites navigate and enjoy the complex and rich gastronomical culture of Greece. Bio of Steven D. Brown CS, C.S.W-
For over 25 years, Steven D. Brown has been a driving force in the support of wine education, and the promotion of fine food and wine.
As Sommelier, Steven has been one of the ten Sommeliers to be invited to participate in Robert Parker”s Wine Advocate Fund for Philanthropy 100 Point Wine Weekend. He has won many awards from the Wine Spectator for wine lists and wine programs he has managed and designed. His programs have also garnered praise in Food and Wine and Bon Appétit. He is a member of the Society of Wine Educators and is currently pursuing the coveted title of Certified Wine Educator. As a certified Sommelier and member of the Guild of Sommeliers Steven is in pursuit of the Master Sommelier title.

Event Press Release TUESDAY, MARCH 17, 2015 at 7:00pm Omega Ouzeri’s first Greek Wine and Dine Tasting with Sotiris Bafitis SEATTLE (March 17, 2015) – Omega Ouzeri’s first Greek Wine and Dine Tasting is taking place Tuesday, March 17, beginning at 7 PM, in Omega’s private mezzanine. Tasting will be led by Sotiris Bafitis, of New York and DC’s Verity Wine Partners and SBS, along with food menu by Seattle’s Thomas Soukakos and Omega’s Executive Chef Vironas Papatheodorou. The wine tasting and dinner is sure to help Seattleleites navigate and enjoy the complex and rich gastronomical culture of Greece. “Our mission at Omega is to showcase the extraordinary depth and diversity of Greece’s gastronomic tradition and wine is at the heart of this tradition dating back more than 6,000 years,” says Thomas Soukakos, owner/manager of Omega Ouzeri. “With the help of Sotiris Bafitis, we’ve selected an array of artisanal producers, appellations and distinctive, indigenous grapes that integrate a tradition like no other, with the best of modern winemaking.” Tasting Menu includes the following dishes with Greek wine pairings for $80 per person:
